Time and technology are rapidly advancing, but to this day, our basic requirements for BABY MOISTURIZING CREAM have not changed.

Second, the combination of ingredients should match the proportion and structure of a baby's skin lipids. The epidermis and dermis of infants are very thin, and what we often refer to as "very thin skin" is true for infants. Natural Moisturizing Factors (NMF) and lipid content are significantly lower than in adults, and Transepidermal Water Loss (TEWL) is higher, making infant skin more susceptible to external stimuli.
Third, the cost-performance ratio must be very high. Compared to more expensive soothing creams, moisturizing creams are used more frequently and over larger areas, such as regular full-body applications for babies. If the price is too high, it will be a considerable expense for every mother.
Fourth, the skin feel is also important for children. We've heard feedback from a few mothers that the 1.0 version of UNILIPO BABY MOISTURIZING CREAM was slightly greasy and heavy, making it difficult to spread. Especially for children over four years old, they sometimes apply it perfunctorily because they find it too heavy. However, to achieve good moisturizing and barrier protection effects, the cream needs to be applied in sufficient amounts.
Therefore, improving the skin feel was a key focus in this upgrade. We need to make it appealing for children to use, which is also a characteristic of an excellent product.
Fifth, open jars are prone to contamination and oxidation. While many mothers like the design of open wide jars, there are many issues during daily use.
Based on these five points, we made significant optimizations and adjustments to the 1.0 version of UNILIPO BABY MOISTURIZING CREAM. The 1.0 version had strong moisturizing properties, but the hydration ability was slightly lacking, so we optimized the hydration system. We also increased the proportion of biomimetic lipids and significantly improved the skin feel.
In fact, all these upgrades and optimizations are to make babies more comfortable and mothers more assured and worry-free. This led to the comprehensive upgrade of UNILIPO BABY MOISTURIZING CREAM from head to toe.

From the comparison between the new and old versions above, you can see that the basic moisturizing and repair system remains, but some components have been increased in amount, and new plant oils with good moisturizing and antioxidant effects have been added to enhance the moisturizing effect.
5% BUTYROSPERMUM PARKII (SHEA) BUTTER
The most significant new ingredient in this baby cream upgrade is the replacement of 5% non-physiological mineral oil with 5% BUTYROSPERMUM PARKII (SHEA) BUTTER. Its oil is extracted from the fruit of the African Shea tree, it is non-irritating and a pure natural renewable oil.
Shea butter has the word "oil" in its name, but at room temperature, it is a soft, creamy substance that can replace the water-locking effects of mineral oil, providing excellent moisturizing and skin-soothing effects. In some clinical trials for infants (and adults) with conditions like dermatitis or diaper rash, shea butter is used as the primary water-locking ingredient.
Additionally, shea butter is rich in antioxidants (including vitamins A, E, F, quercetin, and EGCG), which can reduce inflammation, soothe the skin, and protect it from external factors such as UV rays and dryness.
Our hand cream also contains 5% shea butter, so almost everyone finds that their hands stay moisturized all day without feeling greasy.
2% OLEA EUROPAEA (OLIVE) FRUIT OIL and 2% ORYZA SATIVA (RICE) BRAN WAX
These two essential ingredients from the 1.0 version are retained in the 2.0 upgrade. OLEA EUROPAEA (OLIVE) FRUIT OIL is rich in oleic acid, which can form an excellent lipid protective film, reducing excessive moisture loss caused by the low lipid content in babies' skin.
ORYZA SATIVA (RICE) BRAN WAX contains a certain amount of linoleic acid, which can activate the PPAR-γ gene, helping to inhibit inflammatory responses. It also helps regulate sebum metabolism to some extent, such as reducing the accumulation of lipid oxidation, promoting a healthier lipid structure.
0.5% Vitis Vinifera (Grape) Seed Oil and 0.5% Carthamus Tinctorius (Safflower) Seed Oil
Grape seed oil is rich in linolenic acid and proanthocyanidins, while safflower seed oil is rich in linoleic acid and oleic acid. Both ingredients provide excellent moisturizing and soothing effects and work well with shea butter and other main oils to enhance the moisturizing effect.
Hydrating Ingredients
1% GLYCERYL GLUCOSIDE
GLYCERYL GLUCOSIDE has become popular in the last couple of years as a "miracle hydrating ingredient," but its mechanism of action has been well understood for over a decade. By activating the expression of aquaporin-3 (AQP3), it enhances the skin's own hydration capabilities, which is much more effective than external hydration.
It's like providing a groundwater pump for the baby's easily dried skin, continuously replenishing moisture from within, rather than frequently hydrating from the outside. This aligns with the principle of "teaching a man to fish" rather than just giving him fish.
Other Water-Locking and Soothing Ingredients
0.3% SACCHARIDE ISOMERATE
The function of SACCHARIDE ISOMERATE needs no introduction; it is included in many of our products. It can bind water and firmly lock it on the skin's surface.
Additionally, it promotes the skin's own hyaluronic acid synthesis, providing ultra-long-lasting hydration for up to 72 hours.
1% CALENDULA OFFICINALIS FLOWER EXTRACT
Calendula officinalis flower extract is well-known for its soothing and anti-inflammatory properties, making it an excellent addition to help calm and protect sensitive baby skin.

Calendula officinalis flower extract contains flavonoids and carotenoids, which provide excellent calming and soothing effects, offering good protection for babies' sensitive skin.
Additionally, calendula extract has anti-inflammatory properties, helping to reduce skin inflammation and redness. It also aids in the repair of damaged skin and promotes wound healing.
0.5% Ceramide Complex
The vernix caseosa on the surface of a baby's skin primarily consists of ceramides, making the direct supplementation of ceramides crucial, especially for newborns. Many products that claim to repair the skin barrier only add one or two types of ceramides to their formulas, which is not very effective.
Therefore, we include a complex rich in seven types of ceramides and cholesterol, which more effectively reduces transepidermal water loss, repairs the lipid barrier, and alleviates sensitivity and irritation.
Packaging Upgrade
We have also made changes to the packaging for the 2.0 version. The new vacuum pump bottle dispenses a fixed amount of moisturizing cream with a gentle press, ensuring the cream inside remains unaffected. The short and sturdy design provides stability when pressing the bottle on a table with one hand, making it easier for children to use.
Additionally, the container can be easily twisted open, allowing you to see how much product is left and use every last drop.
The overall color scheme and texture of the new version have been adjusted as well. The bottle now has a frosted finish, making it less slippery to hold, which is also more appealing to children.

Fourth, we've upgraded the pump to a press mechanism that can also be twisted open, ensuring it is not easily contaminated and allowing you to use every last bit.
